BIO SKILLS LAB
The Seattle Science Foundation features an eight station Bioskills lab that provides a realistic operating room environment to advance surgical training, practice new surgical and endovascular techniques and refine innovative medical devices.
The Bioskills lab has two overhead cameras allowing the room to be monitored in other areas of the facility and courses to be recorded by request. In addition to the Bioskills area, SSF also has a separate dry lab space ideal for bench top training and testing.
SSF provides fresh anatomical material from accredited tissue banks and has a large specimen preparation and storage room. We also provide refrigeration and freezer capacity to store tissue for ongoing training. In addition, the Bioskills lab offers a separate area equipped with a decontamination unit and autoclave for on-site cleaning of instrumentation after use. A laboratory technician is available for courses to assist with all aspects of course coordination, course day support and final clean-up.
