“GAP” YEAR OPPORTUNITY
According the American Association of Medical Colleges, the top three “GAP” year experiences include: volunteering in a medically-related field, shadow physicians, and participate in scholarly activity. (Link)
The Seattle Science Foundation is now accepting applications for our “GAP” year program as a clinical anatomy research fellow. Anatomical fellows will be involved with cadaveric dissections in our state of the art facility, shadowing during SSF courses, data analysis, literature reviews and synthesis of drafts of scientific papers. Full-time clinical anatomists and medical professionals will oversee the daily activities of the fellows. No prerequisite background in dissection is required. Backgrounds in the biological sciences are preferred. “GAP” positions are available in various time intervals. International applicants must have appropriate visas in place before applying. The SSF is unable to provide guidance or assistance with visas. Space is limited.
