KIDS IN MEDICINE PROGRAM
Kids in Medicine is a community outreach program designed for elementary school age children.
The program combines short lectures tailored for the age group as well as “hands on” opportunities with anatomical models, simulators and cadaveric or animal tissue. Programs can be arranged at SSF, a school or another appropriate facility.
Second graders have an interactive anatomy lesson in their own classroom. After “gowning up", children explore the heart and brain by touching and feeling real organs, playing with models and reading kid friendly anatomy books.

Kids in Medicine offers a unique look into the human body and stimulates interest in health and medicine. Grade school children visit SSF for an extraordinary lesson in medical science.
