David W. Polly, Jr., M.D., is a pediatric spine surgeon at the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopaedics in Minneapolis, MN and at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Twin Cities. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received an undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy and earned a medical degree at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed an internship and an orthopaedic surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and completed a spine fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.
Areas of special interest to Dr. Polly are orthopaedics, surgery, spine and scoliosis, spine surgery, and pediatric spine care.
Dr. Polly is a member of the American Academy of Orthpaedic Surgery and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. Along with his service to Shriners Hospitals for Children — Twin Cities, Dr. Polly is a professor, and chief of spine service at the University of MN, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is currently the vice president of the Scoliosis Research Society.
