Medical Simulation Corporation (MSC)
announces a new partnership with the Seattle Science Foundation (SSF) to
provide simulation training and education services to healthcare
professionals and medical industry representatives at the SSF world-class
training facility in Seattle, Washington.
SSF offers medical education and training in surgical and endovascular
procedures, using didactic and simulation education, which will now include
the SimSuite(R) Education System. SSF's high-tech facility supports
on-site, multi-disciplinary training as well as point-to-point
communication links to operating and interventional suites that enable
group interactions around the world.
"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Seattle Science
Foundation, an organization leading world-wide collaboration among
healthcare professionals in the advancement of medical knowledge," says
Bill Younkes, MSC President and CEO. "MSC's advanced curriculum and
simulation-based training provides the ideal platform to support
improvements in health care, as it allows providers to more rapidly advance
their skills in a realistic, but risk-free environment."
"We are delighted to partner with MSC, and look forward to abundant
training opportunities in the Pacific Northwest," says Joanie Block, Chief
Operating Officer of the Seattle Science Foundation.
The SimSuite Education System supports the SSF mission to improve
healthcare and advance medical knowledge through collaboration among
healthcare professionals by allowing healthcare providers to advance their
skills in high-risk procedures and in the use of new medical devices in a
risk-free environment. The SimSuite offers courses for professionals
working in vascular surgery, cardiology, interventional cardiology and
interventional radiology, as well as courses for hospital-based nurse and
emergency room teams.
